Day 21 – From Golden Week to the Gold Coast

I checked out of my hotel and found a storage locker in Shinjuku Station. Then took two JR Trains to DisneySea!

I was in luck and there were still tickets available when I arrived.

As is the custom amoung park goers, I bought myself some merch (Minnie ears) to wear for the day.

The florals teemed so well with my outfit, Easter and spring theme!

The elastic headband was more comfortable than the plastic ‘instant headache’ bands.

I really enjoyed the afternoon looking around the park, going on a couple of classic rides (with shorter lines) and eating the park snacks.

Mexican rice, egg, tender chicken and a side dish of chorizo, spuds and cheese, with oolong ice tea. Chinese Spicy popcorn. Peach and raspberry Minnie icey pole.

DisneySea is definitely a big kids paradise (DisneyLand next door is more suited to younger children).

I had no expectations of getting on many rides, (the bigger rides had a wait time of atleast 100mins) and I wanted to see the whole park rather than spend my time in line.

Then I returned to Shinjuku Station giving my self 4hrs to get to Narita Airport for my flight.

Despite taking pictures of my locker and it’s underground surroundings and pinning the location on Google maps, it took me 1.5hr of wandering the jammed packed station to locate it again.

With the help of two information desks I found my way to the bus terminal, only to learn that there were no buses running to the airport for the next 1.40hr.

I ended up buying a ticket on the Narita Express Train (even though it also left later).

All of this meant I’m missed my flight by the time I got to Narita Airport, and had to book a nearby hotel and take an expensive taxi there and rebook my flight.

Fortunately the hotel had a free shuttle bus to the airport the next day, where I waited at the airport for my evening flight.

Eating meals from the Airport dining options and catching up on writing and KDramas.

Then finally it was time to check in, go through security and board my flight back to Australia.

I spent the evening flight watching movies and napping, before landing on home soil!

And that’s the end of my three weeks in Korea and Japan!

I had an amazing trip, thanks for reading my adventures.

Till next time!
