Day 18 – Return to Onsen-der

After discovering my local post office was closed, I crossed my fingers that the kind Japanese businessman was right about Shinjunku Post Office being open.

Lugging my bag full of Japanese trickets through the metro and over two overpasses, made me very grateful he was right and the Post Office was open.

It took some time, but I navigated my way through the postal process and got my packages sent! Literally a weight off my shoulders (and suitcase).

Next stop was Lawsons for a quick brunch, which I heated in one of the microwaves provided.

Then it was time to catch a 30min train to LaQua Spa for traditional onsen.

LaQua is a small amusement park, with cute rides and shops, but I was there for some TLC.

Onsen is much the same process as a Korean bathhouse, which I explained in a previous blog (see Day 12 – Come Sea Come Spa).

LaQua Spa’s facilitates were slightly less impressive than SpaLand in Busan and the price was more expensive.

But I loved the uniform at LaQua, and it has a great relaxation area with chaise lounges and iPads.

After resting for a while, I took a train back to Shinjinku to grab a healthy and delicious dinner.

Called it a night by watching a KDrama (Weighting Lifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo is a great).

See you tomorrow Tokyo!
